Was bored so I tuned my guitar down to a bass and played with the fingers.

next time, try playing in the normal tuning, but pitch shifting it down an octave after you record it. Can actually sound like a bass!

yeah, that's what I usually doing and getting pretty good results.

I tuned down just for fun

low E strings -> one octave down actually.

Yes, it's one. I know bass is transposed when notated, but I forgot that guitar is as well, hence my mistake.
