I used to aspire to own one of these.

Re: Guitars you aspire to own...

One day I'd love to find a Fender Richie Sambora sig Strat - the Black Paisley model. Super rare, and some people think it's tacky, but I love the **** out of it.

It doesn't really figure into my playing style, and thus it's not vital for me to track one down and buy it, but one day I'd also like to have a Gibson ES-335. I had a Tokai copy of it, which I really liked, but eventually sold because I wasn't using it that much.

Other than that, I'm lucky enough to have most of my bases covered - got a great LP, Strat, shred guitar, and I'm building a parts Tele as well at the moment.

Re: Guitars you aspire to own...

Well, I have a few on my want list..

I'd really like to order a Kirn tele someday. Alternatively, buying a Linhof tele.

I am seriously curious about the Duesenberg Starplayer TVs.. I am not quite a Les Paul guy, but this can get there somewhat while still having some other possibilities soundwise (or so they say).

And maybe a Suhr or a Tyler strat with an HSS config.

Lastly, a really good acoustic. I have no idea which one, though.

And I might buy back a Parker Nitefly I sold to a good friend if he ever decides to part ways with it.. Alternatively buying a Music Man Silhouette.

Re: Guitars you aspire to own...

I'm currently searching for one of these (has to be 7 string and this color):

Is that a John Petrucci?

Re: Guitars you aspire to own...

I really don't feel a strong pull to buy anything currently, but I'd like a good Les Paul Custom:

And I need another ES335 like I need a hole in the head, but this guitar has always haunted me:

Re: Guitars you aspire to own...

I have always wanted a Gibson Les Paul Standard. I love the way they look and sound, but never got on with how they feel and play.

Also on the list is a PRS Custom 24. I dont have any credible dealers near me and its too much money to drop on a guitar to buy online or something without playing it first.

Re: Guitars you aspire to own...

Martin D28 Custom Orchestra model (don't know the Martin catalog #). Exceptional guitar. Sorry, never seen a pic of one.

Consider buying a pre-owned example. :deal:

Re: Guitars you aspire to own...

Mine would have to be specially built:

1) A pair of SG clones with NECK-THRU construction, one with PAF's the other with P-90's, both cherry red, one with bear inlays for position markers, the other with owls.

2) A Wechter acoustic with Nashville stringing

Re: Guitars you aspire to own...

You know what I would really like to have:

You remember that birdseye maple neck Tele, blue with double binding? I think it's a Warmoth that somebody here made. Wins some photo contents.

I want a pair of those, a 52 style Tele and a 51 style Precision bass. That would be insanely cool.

Re: Guitars you aspire to own...

Single coil at the neck, Ibanez J custom.
Only available in Japan

Not expensive but a great guitar to own in the coming months to come, stay tuned
