Not just a "tech," but a luthier... J. Thomas Davis is on High Street. http://www.jthomasdavis.com/home.html
They do all kinds of work, as well as build custom acoustics in house. I've been in there a couple times, including having the bridge removed and replaced on an acoustic, and they've done a fantastic job every time. My best friend also uses them for repairs and he swears by them as well.
Not sure what you're looking to have done, but give them a call and see what they say.

Yep, and not hard to get to if you don't mind 2-2.5 hours of route 32.

-If ya go to J.ThomasDavis websight you'll see that JAMES HETFIELD(metallica) is one of their preferred customers....among others.
J.thomasDavis makes acoustic guitars(archtopelectric, too) in the $6,000-$10,000 price range...10-12month wait, all hand made.
--they charge $40.00 for a basic set-up.
--I live within 20 miles of this place, how lucky is that?
