Guys, I'm between $45 and $50 short. Jazz bridge for sale!

I received a double black, 4 cond. Jazz bridge in the mail 2 days ago. And I'm about $45-$50 short (depending on final shipping charges) on the new Gretsch. So can someone please take this off my hands? It's used, but not by me - it's still in the box I got it in. Good condition, can mail it tomorrow morning.

:) Help a brother out? :bigthumb:

Yep sold! Thanks Garrett! Now the Melody Maker might not be for sale...

Thanks for diggin that up Jerry! I hadn't seen that video. That's the post Fender one, which in general is built slightly better, but it's not quite as pretty as the pre-Fender one. Still, I'd take either one any day.

There's Gearwire's review of the exact guitar you showed in the MXR clip.

the sound is thick as hell! Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. My first high end guitar purchase in the future will be a Gretsch!

Re: Guys, I'm between $45 and $50 short. Jazz bridge for sale!

Yeah no kidding. You'd think it's gonna be thin sound with the Filtertrons, but they're simply not. Les Paul + Gretsch = Duo Jet (IMO of course).

Re: Guys, I'm between $45 and $50 short. Jazz bridge for sale!

Oh and this guy plays the Duo Jet like an idiot. I mean, sure you can play hard rock on it. It's god at that. But it's a rockabilly machine. Play some Setzer or something dude!

Gretsches can be great at rock, but not this guy. It's just mud with him. They sound awesome with good players. I prefer them clean though.
