That's cool. I'm still trying to get the NT15 for $200 but so far it's a no go.

eh.. if its like most backorders yours is probably the same time frame that it was when you ordered. its just the rest of us that are out of luck

Still, 99 bux for a tube practice amp... It ships in December, just think of it as a readymade xmas present to yourself. :scratchch

The rep I talked to yesterday said they just got 5 in and expect more arrivals over the course of the next few weeks. Said the orders should be filled earlier.

I went ahead and cancelled mine. Another Budda owner told me about a little trick of putting a volume pedal or EQ in the loop to reduce the volume level to bedroom levels and it works great - better than an attenuator. I had a 7 band EQ that was just sitting in the closet, so I'm thrilled to be able to find a use for it.

I think I'll use these funds for an alnico speaker.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy your LNT's!

A little bump/follow up to this thread ...

I revalved my LNT this morning and was able to dial in a great tone with a bit of valve/equipment balancing. What I ended up with is:

V1 JJ ECC 803S
V2 GE JAN 'green label' 5751
V3 Electro-Harmonix 12AT7

Since I only use headphones with my amp, I am more concerned with tone than output volume, so I don't know if this would decrease overall SPL's or not.

I set the amp for the BRIGHT channel, Gain at 12 o'clock Treble @ 2 o'clock, Bass at 1 o'clock.

Guitar was a Bare Knuckle Miracle Man loaded super strat (alder/maple/Floyd Rose, no volume or tone controls, just a kill switch).

To removed the last bits of zing, I used a Divine Noise straight cable.

Really nice, mild crunch tone with quite a bit of dynamic response to picking attack. Turning up the Gain gave a good, old school rock/metal tone with plenty of girth and nice palm muted sound.

I don't have a cab in the house right now, so I was unable to test it that way, but this is the way I use it normally.

Quite enjoyable!
