well, I have a Ts-808 modified to vintage specs. If the more drive and bass mods still lets you get the classic sound( i dont see why they wouldnt- he says they will) then Id say those are all the mods you want on a Ts-9/808, so i think it should be a great TS.

I know of (and own) the Analog Man version of the Brown Mod. Not sure how this guy's differs.

I wouldn't pay that much unless you knew who the modder was. That's more than the price of a new TS-9.

I wouldn't pay that much either. I'm iffy on the chip changes. There's more mojo surrounding that 4558 chip than anything else. Carbon comp resistors? No thanks, too noisy.

Get a TS-9, change 3 parts to get it to 808 specs and then add a switch and cap for a bass boost. Much more effect in my book.

jerryg, how the heck to you get a 808 to vintage specs when it's spec'd that way to begin with?
