Jumped EFX loop, have normal output both channels, tubes sound strong. Plugged into EFX loop return jack, again normal volume but of course no preamp, no controls. Sprayed contact cleaner on plug and installed into send and return jacks 15 times, no change still low output. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

one of the sockets is bad the send it looks like
when you plug in it opens the normaly closed bypass that routes your signal around the loop
that normally closed contact is now always open
the spring is probably bent holding it open
you would have to take it apart to fix it
then it would just be easier to replace it
they arent expensive but paying a tech to do it could be
about fifty bucks at the local tech sounds reasonable
