H-S-H with JB and Jazz - But What for the Middle?

I'm jonesing for a Godin Freeway Classic or Freeway Floyd, a hum-sing-hum solid body Strat-style. The guitar plays "like butta" but the stock pickups are weak. I want a good hard rock sound out of the bridge, something cleaner for the neck, so that's why I'm leaning towards the JB and Jazz models (maybe a 59 neck instead).

So, please give me some suggestions for a good middle single coil that will sound good on its own, as well as compliment the other two in the 2 and 4 switch positions.

Many thanks.

FWIW, I have a Jazz - SSL-2 - JB in my strat (Ash/rosewood) and I love it. Very nice strat-sound in the 2 and 4 positions, IMHO.

Ark, after reviewing the specs, your combo seems to make the most sense so far.

Thanks everybody for your input.
