h/s/s vs. h

i know the h/s/s has way more tonal options than a single humbucker.
Does the single humbucker configuration have any advantages over the h/s/s?(besides not banging into single coils)
i know this is a silly question:2:

Only thing I can think of would be that if you had two exactly similiar guitars, where that was the only difference, the body of the h guitar would have a bit more wood, since there are no need to carve away space for the two s-coils. The difference would surely be subtle, but possible to hear.

Generally, I would only recommend the H option if you don't like the neck/middle pickup sound. Personally, I would at least keep a H/x/s setup, for better clean tones.
