Re: Hack-a-Stack

You need one more.
Then make two stacks out of them and place the combo amp on top in the middles of the stacks. :)

Re: Hack-a-Stack

Are they all 16 Ohm? Are you running them all at the same time?

All 8 ohm - Top 2 Theiles are Celestions, Bottom is EV. All Stockers from MB. Mark IV is stock.

I use the EV with my Fuchs and the other 2 for my Axe-FX rig. I use the Combo by itself (Celestion), usually the clean channel only. Its a lot of firepower in a small package, which I appreciate more these days.

Re: Hack-a-Stack

I've been thinking about getting a Theile for my MkII, unfortunately no mesa dealers for a thousand miles or so so ill have to try one out next time I'm in the states. What do you think of them. I've heard they produce a surprising amount of bass for the size.

They're pretty heavy for the size. I never liked them with my Univalve or Marshall for some reason, but works well for a Fenderish clean out of the Fuchs. The Celestion version to me is a little crisper and less efficient than the EV. Still, you should be able to get what you want out of either version, depending on your amp.

For me, its a size thing. They are easily carried and easily stored.
