Had NGD on 11/11/11 National Heavy Metal Day!

So I got a Black Top Strat on 11/11/11, in black. I played in for about 40 seconds, and then I began it's transformation.

BTW,I named him Ace...

The neck radius is lower than what I'm used to from a Strat. The pickups are ok, but I have something else in mind. I'm gonna put a APH-1 Alnico II Pro's in the neck and bridge and change out the switch. I must admitt, the pickup combinations you get are cool, but I personally don't need all of that. Peace...

Black chrome pup covers would give it the final touch.

Congrats on the retirement gifts. I also love your amp. Great amp. Tweaker 40? Awesome.

Congrats man!! I agree that the stock pickups are kind of bland. Once you drop your Duncans in there that will be a KILLER axe! :)

That looks great, Dave Murray had one very similar with a maple fretboard on the "Women In Uniform" video. I like!

Well done, the guitar looks great and great choice of amp...that will keep you busy. You've got plenty of time to tweak now! I'll forward this to my girlfriends dad who is going to retire soon and try to convince him to splurge on a new rig....which I can play when I visit :naughty:
