Mustang is way better in my opinion. Easier to use with more options. I'd maybe save up for the newer one for the Bluetooth streaming too.

Yeah, I think I'm leaning thataway. Total noob; first amp except for cheese squier. Don't know chit.
I mean Mustang. And you said the magic word "easy"-I'm a tech wreck. I was on the way to buy another guitar and the amp went just in time!!

I have the VIP2
40 watt with the 12 inch speaker
Those things are awesome little boxes
You can get the software to use your PC to arrange your effects and such

YO! You can get LOUD. I love it !! Well, I'll seem loud to me, going from 10 to 20 and old POS to brand new. Just gotta save $99 for foot switch/loop. Not worried-you know it will take me that long to find the ON switch. Hey, I'd like to see that Epi Florentine. I have digested all my guitars for the first course, and want to see more. I have to go back & look at Black's Charvel again. And, oh never mind. We were talking about amps. I have so been waiting for that POS to croak. But now I feel impotent (yes women can) coz I can't plug in till probably Friday. Ordered Tuesday, 2 day fedex. The overnights "absolutely positively have to be there before 10am>add 24 hours to here. It was all I could do not to make a spinach joke.

The VIP1 gives you the same amp and pedal models but not instrument models
You'll have to live without two acoustic sims , 12 string and 7 strings sims, baritone, sitar, resonator, etc

Some are way too gainy for my tastes

Tube watts are different
The 20. Cant compete with a drummer
It does have a headphone out
That doubles as a cab sim direct out to a PA
Also helps for playing late at night
Should have an AUX in for sending music in for practice
The software has a jam feature that supplies the backing band for jamming

Thanks! Been waiting 2 damn years for that POS to implode. . . and E, I've got a Williams Legato 88 that makes lots of strange noises-synth, stuff, I think there's a drummer in there, so I'll have to watch out for him. Oh man, I need another amp. . .
The neighbors are going to call Carl (deputy) and say I'm sacrificing cats in here. . .
