Hamer Eclipse PU

This guitar seems to be an original.

Tune-o-matic bridge, as opposed to a wrap around. Original Eclipse comes exclusively with SD mini-buckers. Candy Apple green likely on 12 Strings and Slammer series.

This guitar has what I imagine to be a SD Distortion on bridge. No label on neck, I assume same, or similar.

Can anyone take an educated guess??

the color looks great!

hamer put a 59n and jb in a lot of their usa models for a while. there should be something on the back of the pup to tell ya what it is, if not then the dc resistance would give a clue.

OK. TY. I figured someone might have an idea.

I am in no hurry to tear apart. The neck pickup has no identification. Is there a likelihood that it isn't a Seymour Duncan? It seems like an odd matched set.

Hard to imagine. I bought an Archtop Sunburst. My son owns Eclipse. Each guitar over 30 years old and they both look brand new.

Well, it is hard to tell from the pic...the back would have a stamped baseplate and a sticker, though. You can always just loosen the strings and unscrew the pickup to look.

Hamers often had a zebra/reverse zebra neck combined with a double black/double cream bridge pickup stock - even sometimes on covered pickups - so that seems right, albeit with the rings removed.

Unscrewing the pickups at your next string change to look at the bottoms (without having to tear anything else apart) seems like a no-brainer to me.

They look to me like they haven't been extended, but the routes look like full sized humbuckers - I can't be sure from the pic, in which case you'll have to check the bottoms to have any clue. As Hamer USA was effectively a custom shop, one offs would be par for the course so full size HH from the factory wouldn't be impossible even for a guitar that came with mini hums as standard.

Otherwise my best guess from what I have read would be a seymourized mini humbucker set.

It's a toss up. My son bought his guitar, and I figured I'd sell a Telecaster. I went out local pickup and bought a 1993 Hamer Sunburst archtop.

It came with a set of Florance Voodoo59 pickups. OMFG. The Voodoos sound like an original angry 59 Les Paul.

I like the SDs. Nice mellower user friendly sound. Both Hamers over 30 years old and look brand new.
