i like the hamers, but thats just me. i've only played the parker mojo so i can'y really say anything about the classic or deluxe.

Hamers are just more "normal". The Parker is a very different beast than most guitars. I loved the neck, the piezo options and different settings for the trem (all very cool). The pickups aren't the greatest and the selected woods for the guitar don't lead me to believe that a pickup change would make me happy (you may feel differently). Customer service is nonexistent (sent several e-mails and inquiries and not one was ever replied to... tsk tsk...)
Hamers are well built, good sounding instruments. They are made with solid normal wood and are much easier to replace pickups with. I believe the people who own Hamer also own Ovation. I have nothing, but the very best to say about Ovation's customer service, so I'm sure Hamers is top notch as well.
I think a Parker built to my specs would be a dream come true, but the stock models do absolutely nothing for me. Given comparing the two, Hamer would work better for me and probably most guitarists in general.

Seriously, I'd go with Hamer as well. The Parker plays good, but the sound?
And I cant get myself to like the looks of it either.

Careful with the generalizations....
Seriously, it depends on your intended purpose for the axe. For general playing in which I need a variety of tones without carrying 2 dozen guitars, my Nitefly (3 s/c pups) through my POD xt Live is hard to beat. If you want specific character out of the axe, the Hamer might be a better choice. Then there's the Mojo...check it out and check back with us. I can't find a dealer that carries one in stock, so I don't know how well they did with this model.

ive played on alot of both and I would buy a Hamer anyday over a fly. To be honest I could have got a fly at cost and I still didnt want one. To me they are thin sounding with no warmth. they are light weight and comfertable and have lots of features but they had no warmth. Hamer's are wonderfully simple and simply wonderful guitars. They have great tone and playability. The other day I was at a guitar shop and saw 2 V's hanging on the wall. One a gibson usa and one a hamer made overseas. Not only did the overseas hamer sound better than the usa gibson it played better as well. I dont know why but it just seems like there stuff is a cut above most of the other guitar makers. Even there lower line stuff usually sounds good

The Parkers; some people don't like the look, some say they are not warm enough - I would have to say, they just a little on the conservative/retro side. The Fly is brighter, not because of less "warmth" or "low end", but you can actaully hear the lows,mids, and highs much more clearly (note: more "clearly", not more of them). Parkers don't have the mud that other guitars do (sorry..."warmth"). Turn up the "mud" on your amps if that is what you want, nothing out there compares to Parker - that could why I have three of them. Hope it didn't sound like a rant, but I haven't seen an other guitar out there that plays or records as well.

So much has to do with what you want to do- I really like Hamers, but they have a very specialized sound in my book, while my primary stage axe is a parker nitefly becuase I can get practically anything from it-
As said, great neck, very good quiality and a perfect platform for mods- If I've modified electronics to the point that I can get good strat and humbucker sounds as well as the piezo-
As said above, PUPs have gotta go- they are bland and hard to beleive they are dimarzios as aI gernally like Dmz and they were made for the fly- Also, mine is maple so I had to work around brightness-
I've got a JB in the bridge and it's perfect for classic rock and splits great in 2 position- I've got a dimarzio cruiser in the middle and it was a complete surprise..it's a superb twin rail that's a bit less hot and more classic than a cool rail- And have a cool rail in the neck- I also have a special spin a split but that's my own sound and might not be relevant-
But the way I look at it, I have a $400 gtr with $200 electronics that can do 89% of what I can do with my strats, SG, or PRS and if it ever was stolen I know I could replace it easily- At best, the hamer's I've played would fill my PRS and SG sounds-
