Hard Rock (noisless if possible) single coils

Hey guys, Im thinking of buying an American special strat and I wanted to put a single coil sounding pickup in it but a fairly high output one. I really liked the sound of the quarter pound flat, that has enough output for me but I fear that it's too noisy? I loved paul Gilbert's tone on fuzz universe and he uses injectors so maybe that's a good option? I know what tone mainly comes from the amp (I have a micro terror which I love the sound of) I just want to make sure the pickups can handle gain without being too noisy (a bit is fine) thanks guys!!

BTW I have a jb 59 loaded jackson and I love the sound of the jb split (sounds like ritchie blackmore which is a tone I'd love to have) is there a single coil that has that sound?

For Blackmore's tone (one of my favorites), you can either go for Quarter Pounds and deal with the noise or get a Custom Shop stacked Quarter Pound, which eliminates it. You could also use a dummy coil in the middle which cancels out hum but doesn't pickup up any sound (Ritchie never uses a middle pickup). His tone clearly resides in single coil land (at least from 1970 on), so other pickup styles won't quite have the snap.

I don't have an Injector bridge, but I have an Injector neck w/ an Area 67 in the middle like Gilbert uses and I really like them. For Hendrix type stuff not the best, but for modern hard rock great
