I wrote/recorded/mixed this one in an hour: http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9717394 just trying something new - seeing how the quality is for an hour...used epi sg with EMG81, toneport, and reaper
I can't listen right now, but I love the concept of the time limit!! One hour to bust out a tune. Would be hard to do for me!
I've been toying with similar concepts:
- a song with only 1 note (I like B myself)
- a song mixed in mono
- a total free-form/improvisational song - no pre-prepared riffs at all, just hit record and go
- a song using only instruments made of stuff laying around my house to bang on (including kids' toys)
thanks brutha, I dig this concept
Im gonna do a string of these; I get more from it creatively I think; also I get more ideas down on paper instead of working on eq - ing my mix and double tracking my guitars I just create and move on, prolly what I need to do at this point...
on the flip side for better recordings I need to figure out my new drum software one day tho![]()
thanksOne hour to write and record? Turned out pretty good. It usually takes me three days just to do the drums. Probably why I haven't recorded a whole song in about three years.
dang, you're makin' up some powerhouse riffs these days!
The definition of hard rock sure has changed throughout the years.
I always give your tracks a listen as they are not half bad.
And I would say your music IS modern rock! It's not a dirty word, is it?
thanks!!I don't care what silly genre box this gets stuffed in,
this absolutely rocks.
Nice work.
Billy Joel said it best...it's still rock n roll to me! :beerchug:
