Best pick-up you have experince with for nasty harmonics artifiacial or natural.

I use duncan dis/ dun cus and jazz.
I prefer duncan custom harmonic sounds.

Re: Harmonics galore

stock pearly gates. right now i have an a8 magnet in it, which sounds much fuller, but it seems as if it choked off my harmonics. i don't mind much tho since i do alot of riffs and ska stuff.

Re: Harmonics galore

For me it was a Full Shred in an Alder superstrat I made. It was not F-Spaced, but it had a Floyd. The harmonics just jumped out of the guitar. I don't have it wired into anything right now, but I never sold it just in case there was some mojo in it. Since then I've tried other Full Shreds and they're all the same, but for some reason I have a sentimental attachment to this one, I think because it was like the first time I ever had a guitar where the harmonics jumped out at every interval, and it was around 1990-92 when getting harmonics was pretty important!

full shred, screamin demon, custom 5, and bill lawrence l-500l. The full shred neck and L-500 L is a very tight combination I just tried out and it makes an excellent versatile set. I recommend it. I also hear the dimarzio FRED had some great harmonics and I intend to try it out sometime.

Re: Harmonics galore

The degaussed A5 '59 and the slightly degaussed A2 '59 both drip with natural harmonics. The JB is also a very harmonically rich pickup for an A5 humbucker.

Of course, most A2 vintage output humbuckers will also be harmonically rich....

Bill and Becky Lawrence L500XL and L500L, Breed, Evolution, Custom, for passives.
EMG '81 + 18v for actives. I love 'em!

Re: Harmonics galore

The JB in my Jackson SL3 is amazing for harmonics, but that guitar is just all round fantastic.
The Bill Lawrence USA 500XL I put in my Jackson Concept JDR is also amazing for harmonics. Can't believe how good that pickup is for the price!
