Not yet. It's still in the beta test phase. However, I can tell you that one of the artist beta testers was so bowled over by the pickup that he immediately spec'd out his new signature model guitar with the beta test version of the pickup. I can't say who he is, but he's extremely good.

Heh-heh . . . you don't suppose it will be called the JB Stack do you? :laugh2:

No. But there was a big hint in my quote...

Since Evan has brought them up...IMO these new noiseless "stack" Strat pickups are amazing! I love the tone of them, they are great sounding pickups. They have lots of what makes a Strat sound good except the noise!

Re: Has anybody played Classic stacks?

You didn't ask for my opinion, but I'll give it to you anyway. Keep the original Classic Stacks, if feasible. I think that there's a place for both.

No, wait a minute...

If I were you, I would announce that the new Stacks will replace the original Stacks. I would let that ride for a bit, and then I would come back with "Original Stacks" and market them as being "back by popular demand". If you want, I'll even endorse them for you...lol

It's the classic take-away.

Re: Has anybody played Classic stacks?

I think that those pickups could be the single coils for me. I don't necessarily need more output, but more glassy highs and a different kind of fullness would be very nice. But still, a high output noiseless that sounds like a real SC. Great!

Re: Has anybody played Classic stacks?

I personaly dont really like 'em. Kinda wimpy sounding and sterile. The HotStack is a bit better. BTW, I just put a Dmz VirtuAL2 in the bridge of my strat and I really like it.

When I go for noiseless pickups, I prefer those "hotter" ones, or hotrodded, whatever you call it. They dont perfectly mimick the original 50's ones, but at least, they have a bit more under the hood which compensate.

Im about to try Dmz VV Heavy Blues and Solo in the next 2 weeks. Will come back with comments.
