Just wondering if any of you have experience using Nashville tuning?
Or can you point me to a recording that used it so I can hear it?

From what I understand, it goes like this:

E A D G B E
.027 .018 .012 .009 .014 .010
8ve 8ve 8ve 8ve Norm Norm

Wild Horses by the Stones is a good example. Here is wikpedia article that explains it and list some songs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nashville_tuning_(high_strung)

I used to have an acoustic set up with nashville (or high strung guitar) tuning. It's great fun to play and really shines for recording or playing with another using a standard tuned guitar. As easy way to figure guages is check out a 12 string pack of strings and use the guages listed for the octave strings on the E A D G strings. For even more fun, capo the hi strung guitar! good luck and enjoy!

The guitar intro to Hey You was an acoustic in Nashville tuning.

I've never strung a guitar that way but it seems like a great way to add thickness to a rhythm track.

I bought a Squier Strat and had it strung up that way for recording. Still have it. Doesn't get a ton of use but for $99 bucks and a little of my time it was worth it to have. Definitely adds flavor but the playing have to be pretty accurate when tracking to get the full effect

There She Goes Again by The LA's has a Nashville tuning.

I think the "rhythm" arpeggios in Satriani's "Always With You, Always With Me" was done on a Nashville-tuned guitar. I could be wrong, though.
