Has anyone tried splitting aph-1

I plan on buying some duncans for my Dean ML to contrast my emg loaded epi les paul and i wanted to go the Velvet Revolver GNR route so i plan on getting aph's. Anyway i also want to get some strat sounds and want to know how its sounds split neck and bridge.

It sounds good split, but the output is pretty low. You'll likely notice a significant loss in volume when the pickup is split.
