Has anyone tried the GT6L6GE tubes yet?

Hey guys!,
I just order a quad set of the new Groove Tube GT6L6GE's from Musicians Friend because they're on sale at the moment.
They're pretty exspensive tubes even on sale but these are suppose to be made in U.S. to the original specs of old General Electric 6l6's
These will be going in my older (low serial #) two channel Dual Recto.
Hope they live up to the hype!

I have them in a early blackfaced 70's twin. Pretty darn good tubes. They are ballsy and handle a fair amound of plate voltage.

I put a set into an old Pro Reverb and compared them to some very very old and very used RCA Blackplates. Maybe it's the age, but I think I like the new tubes better.

Bruce just sent me a set of TAD's that he is using in his new kits. I'll have to do a taste test later.

ive heard them in a few things and i think they sound pretty nice and if they last as long as they are supposed to, i think they are worth the price

Those, and Svetlana =C= logo 6L6's are the two best current 6L6's IMO.
Thanks for the feed back guys!,
I've also heard that the Svetlana =C= logo 6L6's were very good but sence the GT's were on sale I thought I'd give them a try first.
I'll plan on picking up a set of the Svetlana's in the future.
