Has anyone tried the Lace Sensor Rainbow or Hot Gold Set?

Re: Has anyone tried the Lace Sensor Rainbow or Hot Gold Set?

The Chromedome is great for neck position. According to Lace it's a tweaked, slightly higher-output version of the Gold.

Hi...i am a new user here. In my case i have installed & recommended the Lace Sensor stuff for years. They exhibit an articulate tone with clarity similar to EMG units, but without the compressed sound. I especially like the Gold and Hot Gold, and I have a Red Dually in an Ibanez set up as a baritone sounds terrific with no mud.

I especially like the Gold and Hot Gold (singles and Duallys), and I have a Red Dually in an Ibanez set up as a baritone - sounds terrific, with no mud.

They'll often seed a forum with posts and then spam through a signature or insert a link in a random word or punctuation mark.

An update by the way, the Emerald, Silver, and Light Blue came in today. I'll set everything up tommorow, except for the midboost, which is still on its way.

Finally got the midboost after about 1 month and everything works well. Wired it all up and it works as a Strat should. The Emerald definitely has a certain SRV vibe to it, the Silver rules for funk and psychedelic work, and the bridge has a bit of a Tele type quality. I can't speak for the 2 and 4 positions as it is currently wired with a three way switch, but this is a phenomenal set of pickups. I hardly feel the need to use the additional tone controls I have on it, but they are really useful when you are working with an unfamiliar amp and need to adjust the guitar to the amp. Or if you can't be bothered to walk over to your own amp.
