Have Mesa ever reissued the original Princeton Boogie combo?

I was thinking (uh oh). Have Mesa "correctly" reproduced their original hot-rodded Princeton model? I'd be very keen to try that amp, just for the sake of curiosity, but I don't hold out much hope for finding an original, let alone affording one.

Thanks.

Thank you. I wonder how close the production line Mark I is to the original that "started it all" for Mesa. The one that Santana supposedly stopped into the shop and named "Boogie." Mesa calls them the "Princeton Boogies" in their literature, and states that they were made between '67 and '70. They are a souped-up Bassman fit into a Princeton combo cab. Those are the ones I was talking about.

I'd actually kind of be interested in taking an old Princeton and doing what Mesa did to it as well, rather than buying a repro. I'm sure if I search the World Wide Web, I can find someone who has documented such a project.

IN an old interview Randy Smith talked about the Princeton Boogies and while most of them were pretty much the same they did vary a little and in fact not all of them were Princetons! There was for sure one Vibrolux and at least 2 Champs!!!

Same interview Randy also said that a MK I with no graphic EQ is pretty much the same thing as a Princeton Boogie...

Very cool. I'd love to see one of those Champ Boogies!
