Have my friend's PRS for the weekend...

Really nice playing guitar. He keeps it in his office at work (lives in an apartment so doesn't get to play it through his Matchless much anymore).

It's actually the first PRS I've played that makes me really want one. I really like the colour too, not too over the top.

1997 Custom 22
Wide Thin neck
Dragon Treble and Bass pickups.

The only thing I'd change is that I'd probably prefer a McCarty switch, but I would certainly be happy with this guitar.

That is pretty nice...I really have a soft spot for their single cuts though

Re: Have my friend's PRS for the weekend...

Gosh...first time I've gigged a PRS. Had a couple of things to play at this weekend and used this for all of them. Very impressive guitar to use, and I even got used to the rotor-switching of the pickups, not as annoying as I expected.

Pickups sound great, playability is just perfect...man, if I didn't have other things to spend the money on I think I'd go buy one now.

Doesn't so much fire me with GAS as much as convince me that it's a great all round option for a player guitar for all occasions.

BTW, yes I realise I'm the last guy to bother getting on the PRS train :D ...but I've never really been inspired by most I've played in shops tbh. Not sure why.

Nice looking guitar. You should clean it up a little and oil that fretboard for your buddy. I'm not a huge PRS fan, but would like to have a McCarty someday.

All of the PRS's I've had the pleasure of playing felt GREAT!

Sadly, all of them also were too bright sounding for my tastes.

But PRS makes GORGEOUS, playable axes.

Yeah...I need to buy some oil hehe...I'm so one of the least technical guys there is, even oiling a fretboard is almost delving into technical wizardry for me :smack: ...I can just play, not do anything else at all when it comes to guitars.

Yeah, good bloke. Actually one of the owner / directors of the company I work at. He doesn't play a lot nowdays, but bought this guitar when he was working in Houston. I pick it up and play it most times I'm in his office, so perhaps he's trying to get it out of my system :laugh2:

Very nice. I really don't like the bridge, that seems a little Strat-ish for me. I don't know what I'd replace it with, but I still like it a lot. Their inlays are the best of any that exist.
