I'd like to own a BG1400, but I just don't have a project guitar to build for now. I tried connecting a stacked SD telecaster pickup with both coils operating in the same direction and it sounds excellent. although it no longer is hum canceling.

It sounds quite interesting, I think the ultra high DCR is because it's a stacked pickup but I would love to try it, I wish I would have looked into this when I was building my tele...

I haven't used one myself, but listened to another player use one quite a bit. It sounds like a quieter P90 to me...maybe more mids, a little less open.
