So...

1.) Have you owned any pedals more than once?

2.) Which one(s)?

3.) How come?

4.) How come why?

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

Nope. Haven't re-bought anything I've sold. But I do have two Crybabys and two DOD OD Pre-Amp 250s, in each case because I bought parts donor pedals, so I could cobble together one working unit from two broken ones.

I do regret selling my old model Deluxe Memory Man, though. I hope to find another some day. Actually, I sold it, and a reissue Crybaby, to a Duncan employee. Not too long afterward, a new model of Duncan delay came out. It had many of the features of the Deluxe Memory Man, and I have always wondered if they partly based their design on my old pedal.

Did they come out with a wah pedal, too?

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

yes. boss sd1. ive had at least three of them over the years. i bought it cause i saw people i liked at the time using them and into my jcm800, it was awesome. then i got a new amp and it was less awesome and i sold it. then i kinda missed it so got another one. i didnt like the buffer so ended up selling it. that may have happened twice. i got another one and still have it. i still dont like the buffer so i keep it in a bypass loop with an oc2

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

Rat (Regular) . stolen or lost
Boss GE7 . lost it
Boss OC2 -broke it
Boss TR2 x4 lost, broke, stolen etc etc
Big Muff (Russian Green) . lent it and never got it back
Ernie Ball Volume . sold it, needed it again
Furry Burrito Fuzz . sold it needed it again
80s Ross Overdrive . lost it
Xotic AC switched to EP then back.

probably lots more...

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

My goodness, I've had more DS-1s than I could shake a stick at. It use to be the ol' buy one, sell it, miss it cycle, but then it became the buy one, mod it, sell it, think about how I could mod it better cycle.

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

BBE Sonic Stomp, Sold it then picked up another one years later. Now I'm selling this one LOL.
Boss DD-7. Sold mine to get a tc electronics Timepline only to figure out the DD-7 was a better pedal. So I sold the Time line and got another DD-7.
Ibanez Tube Scremer 808 model. Same as above.
I probably could list at least a few more trying stuff out only to find out what I had was what I needed. Grass is greener thing I guess.

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

Yes.

I've had at least three DS-1s, two Crybabies, and I'm about to get Metal Zone number 2. I believe I've also had 2 Digitech RP-100s, and MAYBE 2 POD 2.0s.

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

Yes. Had a DOD FX40B eq pedal for...25 years? Sold it because I hate the buffered bypass when it is not on. Regretted it, bought another one intending to have it converted to true pypass. Found out what a pain that is on this model and sold it.
Now seriously considering buying another one and either living with the buffer or ponying up the buck for true bypass conversion.
It just sounds different to me than the other eq pedals I have tried, although I know the new silver MXR 6-band is true bypass and I have not tried one of those. Yet...

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

I own two of each of my favorite fuzz, distortion and OD pedals just in case one goes out on me. Same with amps and guitars x.x

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

Metal Zone, twice. Don't want it back, I don't play traditional Metal anymore.
GE7, I've had three. All sold for the wrong reasons. I'd like one now.
Marshall Jackhammer, owned it twice. It's still a solid choice but there might be better cheap dirt pedals out there. I'd buy one again.

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

I bought an HX Effects twice. The first time, I was buying it to replace a big part of my rig, and it was expensive. It didn't work like the stuff I was replacing, and I had too much money into it, so I resold it for the same amount I bought it for. I had a chance at another one at an excellent price, and I am using it for my acoustic rig, which it does a great job.

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

I have two Joyo Classic Flangers. Bought second one, because they are somewhat rare around here and it was on sale close by. With that price it's no-brainer to have a backup.

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

I used to have a DOD Fx59 Thrash Master.

Wish I had owned that one LESS than once!

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

Mxr phase 90 and Crybaby.
Had a rough financial situation and sold off all of my gear. Bought new ones once I was able to start acquiring gear again. Also had to buy a new Crybaby after my second one was killed by a basement flood.

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

crybaby, metal zone, boss super od, boss digital delay, variants of tube screamers/ts-9's

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

A Danelectro Tuna Melt tremolo. Sold the first one. Bought a new one a couple years later. Second one pops when you turn it on and off so I can't dump it.

Boss BF-2. Bought one to replace a DOD Stereo Flanger that I thought drowned in the rain and sold it for an Ibanez CF-7. Regretted it for about 10 years. Found one locally for a decent price and bought it.

I re-bought a Boss CE-3 that was stolen in the mid 80’s. Loved the sound. I depended on it for a lot of music at the time. It was also affordable.

Do emulations of old gear I used to have count?

Re: Have you owned any pedals more than once?

Yup, MXR Distortion +
My first effect pedal, purchased back in 1981 or 1982, sold it by the mid-eighties (couldn't get a sound I liked, although I was clueless at the time)...Bought another one in 2008, modified it, liked the tone better, but still had no use for it. Bought two more in 2016, did mods on both, finally performed a mod that I actually liked, two of the pedals are in storage, one I use from time to time...
