Hey Guys,
I haven't been doing much forum living lately so I haven't been updating you guys on every single amp I've scooped up over the last year... and I've gotten a few. Luckily for you I'm bored today so I'm going to show off for a minute.
Last time I updated I'm pretty sure I was using this old rig at my old house:

The 68 Bassman head in that picture is my main amp but it had blown filter caps at the time so I was using the Univox 1051 head through all of those cabs... and of course the Class 5 for when I didn't want to bug the neighbors.

I moved and started a new job in the same weekend so I had a hard time getting organized for a while... This rig wound up in my living room as my practice amp:

Then I'm pretty sure I blew a speaker or something in it because it stopped sounding as good and I had to switch to my OTHER Sunn cab...

So as I'm shopping around for replacement speakers, I hear through the grapevine of somebody trying to unload his Orange 4x12 ASAP and he accepted my lowball offer.

Charlie likes it.

I work in music retail and the company I work for buys lots of used equipment. As a rule, though, they try not to buy anything with any sort of problems, no matter how easy it would be for them to fix. This puts me in the position to get lots of cool stuff on the cheap if I know it's an easy fix (or know somebody who can fix it...which I do). That's how I got most of this stuff...
First a guy brings in this super clean Gibson 2x12 amp... I could've swore it had tubes in it by the tone but it is apparently solidstate. It looks cool with all my other Gibson junk and it sounds like BB King clean...

And I'm digging it and loving on it for a week or so but I can't help but wish it had fuller, lusher reverb. Luckily a guy brought this thing in with fried tubes, scratchy pots and all sorts of other ghosts n goblins:

Honestly I've been trying to get back into the bass though... Luckily I scored these:

But then it's like... I only have guitar speakers. So I found this 2x15 cab (under the Univox under the black kitty)

Got the Bassman working again finally.

So I'm feeling pretty good about my tone and everything is sounding really heavy when a guy brings an amp in... Tolex ripped off, faceplate & logo badge are long gone, replaced transformer, maybe half the tubes work... Again, lowball offer accepted:

You could say it was a good year. I've decided that the 200w Univox and Model T should be more than enough power for my bass needs and already sold the solidstate bass heads. Also decided that with all these cabs and nice heads around I really don't need the Twin or Gibson... Twin should be sold on Monday but there's not a huge market for 70's solidstate Gibson amps :smokin: Hope you enjoyed my presentation. Peace guys!
