Hey there everybody....I have been guitar teching a long time and one thing folks forget is...if the humbucker can be hard wired to parallel like 2 single coils. It's super low noise and the neck PU can be raised closer to match the output of the bridge. A single coil is always going to sound like a single coil and humbucker is always going to sound like a humbucker. This is due to construction of each...a single coil has the rod magnets pointed directly at the strings...where a humbucker has a bar magnet in the bottom with the magnetic flux going in a circle. except for the stagmag it has rod magnets.
