I hated every second of it, apart from games. The regime at school was a very oppressive one ... the same kids who are susceptible to bullying by other kids are also susceptible to bullying by the teachers.

I always wanted to see them, Jolly went a few years back, and said he loved it!

I see Roger in concert every chance I get. The current Wall tour is incredible!

I saw Waters play at a local venue on the Radio KAOS tour. Great seats a few rows back on one side of the stage. At one point, Roger came over to our side and was jamming out. Everyone in front of us went right up to the stage and started fawning over him. Roger was loving it. Then I saw him look at our row - the first row with any people still in it. He was wearing sunglasses, but I could see him look at each person down the line, smiling. When he got to me, he seemed to notice that I was wearing a David Gilmour concert tee. His smile turned to a scowl as he made an abrupt right turn to rejoin the band at center stage. Oops!

Roger, you know which one's Pink. Shine on!

I don't really think of Roger Waters as a bassist. I think of him as a songwriter.

...a poet!!!

"What have we here, laddie? Mysterious scribblings? A secret code? Oh, poems, no less! Poems, everybody! The laddie reckons himself a poet!

[Reads poem from Pink's little black book]
Money, /
Get back /
I'm all right, Jack /
Keep your hands off my stack.

New car /
Caviar /
Four-star daydream /
Think I'll buy me a football team.

[Slams the book onto Pink's desk]
Absolute rubbish, laddie!

[Whacks him with a ruler, growls]
Get on with your work!

Repeat after me:
An acre is the area of a rectangle
whose length is…."
