Just realised there are many different types - I thought Snark had only made 1 (although thats quite silly when you really think about it).

Damn, tried to buy the SN8, but no o/s shipping.

rackmount tuners all the way for me.

It's a little hard to use one of those when you and your friends are hanging out outside playing acoustics.

Exactly.

Most people on here who have bought the Snark already have pedalboard tuners. I use it on my acoustic, or if I need to restring an electric and not be right next to my pedalboard.

Now I don't have to worry about pulling my tuner from my pedalboard to take to practice. I use a small amp at practice like my main amp, but just with the amp footswitch. I've the PolyTune iPhone app too but if it's too noisy to work accurately, the Snark will work perfectly.

I got one a couple of months ago, and I like it better
than my old Intellitouch that died.
