Headstock and logo idea.

Lads i am making 2 teleish,ish,ish shred devils.

I originally wanted a gibson style head but i am thinking of shaping it like this instead. I am also thinking i will make a rickenbacker style trusssrod cover and headstock logo in one. :headbang: trying to blend some 70's styling with modern shred here.

that shape is nice, an fits well with the modded tele body
a straight pull headstock (a mod to what you have), a zero fret and a stetsbar will pretty much fit the 70's meets shred concept

something like a chrome deathbucker on the bridge might add to the look

And continue the cover theme from the bridge to the rear?

PS -I really like the headstock shape as it emulates the upper to lower horn sweep, subtle an nice.

That's extremely close to the Charvel Surfcaster headstock shape.

Its pretty hard to get a fully original headstock design unless you go full retard.

the cutaway angles are a little too extreme for my taste, really dig the headstock though!
also, when I see those colours I can't help but think sparkle finish!

Really? i thought it was rather tame :headbang:. that drawing is based on a 24.75''scale with 27 frets. So you can imagine the cutaway has to be rather extreme just to gain some access up there.

Not this time around. My first trem build will be a strat and using the templates i purchased.

You gonna do any special inlays? I think Sharkfin inlays would look great with the headstock and body.
