Heavy Melodic and Polymetric Song with Podxt and Dfhs

Hey guys, im fairly new here, but i thought i might share with you my ever growing collection of songs haha!

First off i JUST finished off a new rough idea with a reworked guitar tone and bass tone using my podxt (with the model packs) and my schecter c-7 (kinda cheap but it has an emg 707 in it).
The drums are Drumkit from hell Superior.

Now this is only the beggning of the song and its sorta rough still but check it out here and let me know what you think:

www.soundclick.com/bulb

(its called forever and a half)

it plays by default but you can also stream it directly this way:

Also if you like what you hear, feel free to check out the other songs/ideas/randomness thingamajigs!

Enjoy!

Wow! This is impressive stuff, bulb. A nice introduction for the forum bros to your music. The rapid-fire drums are a bit much for my taste, maybe a bit too Dream Theater-ish to me, but hey, that's just my taste. I absolutlely love the guitar line deeper in the mix from 2:10 to 2:25.

Again, impressive stuff. Thumbs up, bro...and welcome to the forum!

P.S. The first URL didn't play the tune by default for me, and the second link gave me a "404 - Not Found" error message. I clicked on the first link and went to the "music" link at the top of the page to get to your tune.

Wicked clip Bulb. Amazing playing, and the tone is great. Very Meshuggah inspired :smokin:, but I expected that when I clicked on the link.

As always, Bulb is god.

Downloading now, I'll load it onto my iPod and have a listen later - I'm at work :(.

Sweet tune Bulbie, I like the little lead guitar parts behind the main riffage.

I can only imagine that programming drums with DFHS would be a pain. Nice POD tones too!

Nah, easy as pie!

Bulb, mic up your damn Powerball, VHT, or 6505 already!

Ahhh man programming drums for me is so tedious, i never look forward to doing it, but ya gotta do it!

and jeff, tell that to the people who live in my apt haha.
seriously tho, im going to try it out and see what kind of results i can get, the 5150 doesnt sound so hot at low volumes, but the vht and powerball do. Tho neither sound nearly as good as when opened up a little...laaaaame

Re: Heavy Melodic and Polymetric Song with Podxt and Dfhs

Whew! Some super-shredding in that clip!

At first I was wondering what the sucking compression sound that kept happening was... then I clicked on the hi-fi version & discovered it was just the low-fi encoder... :smack:

Glad I listened to the hi-fi version instead!
