Cheers for the tips everyone, I will look into all options

Yeah I was looking at the Paralell Axis, but its something to do with needing a tremelo for it? My guitar is stopbar. Would this effect it?

2" gauge strings...dang...you could hit 1Hz easily with those...

I'd go with the DiMarzio X2N. You need a tremolo for the Parallel Axis Distortion to have proper string alignment with the pole pieces on the pickup. The X2N has two wide blade pole pieces, which give you an even string balance, so there is no drop off at all. It's a balanced pickup, it's really hot, and it's passive. The Evolution neck is also well balanced, and should work very well with the X2N if you're looking for a neck pickup, too.

Thats Exactly the setup I was going for sufferin, either an Evo neck or PAF Pro, as I play some non-metaly stuff aswell.
