Hehe for Jeff B

Well it was actually quite funny that you should mention doing a JMP like drive...I put the final touch on it today, dunno if it will ever hit the streets, but here it is, it is somewhat more aggressive than the plexitone, more bite and gain, very much an 80's sound for sure.
Here are a few clips, I also tried it with a 1982 LP with some mean humbuckers...sustain and harmonics for days...screamer...hehe
Even my strats where wailing like mad banshee's...so these clips do not do it much justice, but the studio is down at the moment, have to rerig the computer, and I really do not have the time right now, but soon hopefully.
Here are few clips, I used my Wolfgang on both.

Re: Hehe for Jeff B

Oh my, I love the tone from the JMP circuit. If that never sees the light of day, would you be willing to share the schematic? My gosh I love the tone from that. It's exactly what I'm looking for to go in to the clean channel of my practice rig.

:headbang:

Very cool!! Loved the second half of the first clip..woohoo! Fresh phrasing!

Re: Hehe for Jeff B

Uhm...

yeah...

that doesn't suck....

:laugh2:

(another) Great Ped Rid...it sounds very much like my old 50 watt JMP combo did...and that's more of the tone I'm going for...with one of those "tubbies" as you put it, it would KILL! :D

you GOTTA get that thing out the door....and MORE CLIPS! (with the Les Paul please? :D)

BTW..that first clip was very Gary Moore (pre-blues)...not only in phrasing but tone as well when he played the single bucker strats w/ floyds!

Re: Hehe for Jeff B

Lol thanks guys...I am still cringing over the first part of the first clip...hehe somewhat rushed to put it mildly;)
On the tubeamps this thing was mean and fat, not as gnarly wodden and less dark like the normal plexi, which also have alot of bite, but this one is a real screamer.
If it fails to get out, I can mod your existing plexitone to these specs.
And it can have somemore gain...but that would really be overkill...the amp was almost chocking when I hit the highgain channel with the tubbie:D
Later this week it will get a testrun on the 4x12 with the Hiwatt, that is always the no or go amp.
And it seems that my vox like od is going through...hehe good times fo' shu!
:D

Re: Hehe for Jeff B

Well, I don't have a PlexiTone yet but I may have to seriously consider it and have you mod it, possibly switchable. :D Hmmm, now that would be sweet.

Re: Hehe for Jeff B

Ahh, I see. Yeah, that would be tricky to make it switchable then...LOL. The JMP sound you got there is incredible. That's pure Marshall in a box right there.

Re: Hehe for Jeff B

Well sofar da boss is not warmed up to the idea;) Him being rather busy to even hear it much...hehe we are swamped in Quattro's, 9v new style pedals, our storage is full of boxes ready to ship, preperations for winter NAMM, and so on.
But if you would mail him, and suggest that a metalface style Marshall like pedal, is all you ever want, and don't talk about little me;)hehe
He was swayed by the Vox like pedal by asked questions about it being possible for us to make one.
