Was at Rids place today, and he gave me my long awaited new custom made overdrive. Tailored to what I like

He called it "Carl Scream" but I named it the Full Shred Drive.

Its a 2channel OD with boost.

Channel 1 is quite alot like the sound on the boys are back in town, a real old school Marshall like crunch with alot of mids.

Channel 2 is FAT. The midrange is FAT FAT FAT FAT! Warm and kinda smooth, yet still aggressive.

This is probably the best overdrive I have ever used, and will continue to use.

It aint really a Plexitone. Its more midrangey. Quite different, more 80s metal sounding.

Very much to my taste

It is not an 80s metal pedal you puddlehair lover
It is a a drive voiced for fat wide mids...not all that much gain to it either.
Somewhat different than a Plexi...uses some of the same parts as the AC-Tone.
It is its own thing.
Just warm fat mids and enough drive for most oldstyle rock...and reacts well to getting pushed too...so it can be used in different ways.
Fun pedal to make really!
