Hello everyone. I didn't see a board for posting intros but my name is Josh. I've been playing guitar for about 5 years now and I've been a lurker on the forum. I'm 23 y/o and I live in Georgia. This seems like a very cool forum.

My gear:

Line 6 Flextone III XL (currently has ****ty celestion lead 80 speakers in it... I'm going to be replacing them with eminences soon)

Fender HM strat HSS bright white (MIJ I believe)
Basswood (maybe alder?) body
Maple neck/fingerboard 24 fret
Kahler spyder trem w/ locking nut

I got it used at a local sam ash fairly recently because it has an amazing feeling neck on it and the fingerboard is a bit worn but in a very mojo kinda way. It looks n feels unbelievable. Very thin, flat, and fast.

I settled on a PATB-1 for the bridge of the strat, I'm going to rip out the middle single coil, and put a PA-STK1n in the neck. I play a lot of rock and alternative (lots of 90s stuff). I'm definitely more of a rhythm player than lead... which is partly what lead me to Seymour Duncan... it seems like Dimarzio only really focuses on lead playing. My strat came with a DMZ Super 3 in the bridge and it really wasn't my cup of tea. I'm wondering what you guys think of this pup/wood combo for me. I haven't wired them in yet.

Also, what pot / cap values do you think I should be looking at?

Thanks guys! I'm psyked!

Full shred FTW!!!! My bro had the same git box amd the.thing sounded awesome. Parallel axis was beef too. Iirc 500k pots were where it was at.

Re: Hello everyone!

Erm, reading your OP - as written - you appear to be saying that your Line6 amplifier has an amazing neck and fingerboard. Has a sentence or paragraph gone missing? Maybe, the order needs changing? Amp first, guitar details second.

Pickup-wise, you might as well get a PA Stack for the centre position too.

Re: Hello everyone!

i would use 500k for those pups. i love those mij necks, they feel great

Re: Hello everyone!

The Celestion Lead 80s aren't crappy. The Celestion SEVENTY 80s are. Which one does your amp have?
