Help!!! Brand new amp is ****in making noises!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Just got it and its makin noises. Kind of a rattle, but only when I playcertain notes. It isnt very noticeable, but gets anoying. Could a tube be loose? It was the floor model at GC too, so I guess it isnt right out of the box.

What is it . Some amps are known to have tube rattle. You have the GC return policy. I am sure some of the amp guys will chime in.

Don't rule out cabinet noise. Some of these new amps today just don't have good cabinets. This is the reason a lot of people buy amp heads and get a real good cabinet.

Floor model? Eww! I would take it back and get brand new one, if you like that amp

I love the amp its a bassman 59' RI, and the floor model is all they had left.

ok, now when i turn it on the light doesnt light up and it makes a humm that crackles a little too. I gues I'm takin it back.....

That is awful. When you mentioned that it was a Bassman RI, I immediately experienced empathy and hopes that you would be able to rectify the situation!

It doesnt matter if its just a tube anyway. GC shouldn't sell **** that breaks after only 2-5 hours use. It should have been checked out before someone bought it just because it was a floor model. I'm not to handy with a soldering iron, and I'm not spending anymore money on this amp.. at least for a while :laugh2:

I think you should go back to GC and see what they can do.
