help choosing SC PU's

After years of not owning a strat, I decided to pick up a Line 6 James Tyler Variax Strat S/S/S. I'm looking to replace the magnetic pickups. Tone-wise, clarity first and foremost, highs that are slightly rolled off, and pickups that work well under high gain- again, clarity, clarity, clarity. I tend to play with lots of gain or fuzz, so if its hum canceling, that might be a plus.

As for tones, I like John Fruchante, Los Lonely Boys, Eric Johnson.

In the past I've liked G&L MFD's (though they're not high output enough), the YJM bridge, and Injector bridge. I'm not looking for SC sized humbuckers. I want this to be a strat sound. I have 10 other shred guitars for everything else. What bridge and neck pups should I be looking at?

Thanks for any help.

I suggest the Classic Strat Stack Plus. Classic, quiet Strat sound for days. However, what I had read about the Variax was that the pickups were chosen so there was no big tonal shift (or volume shift) from modeling to actual pickups. I don't know how important this is to your experience playing the guitar.
I have a Variax acoustic that I really like.
