I read somewhere that our good friend Ritchie Blackmore could dive bomb a whole octave with his tremolo. If anybody knows how to adjust this please help.

Raise the action and screw the trem springs in until it's barely floating, needs to be a good trem too. Then slam the trem arm to the deck and don't care if it breaks.
Edit: use this at your own peril. You're pushing it pretty hard for that octave

Well, how did it go? It will take a little bit for the neck to settle after moving the hardware to a different spot and changing the spring tension.
