Re: Help Guys

vox, tube preamp, more effects than one knows what to do with, and it pretty accurately models the amps it claims to, which would include a vox ac30. need i say more?

Re: Help Guys

The cube is great for a cheap amp, but from what ive heard about those vox valvetronix amps they are a fair bit better so if you can afford one of those go for it!

I ve seen the Valvetronix for £114 (about $209)
If you are talking about the AD30VT then that is a very good price, can you get the footswitch pedal thrown in for that deal as well? If you can then jump for it. You may have to change the speaker but that's about all you would need to do. If you can get the AD120VT for at or near £500 then go for that instead as it is better, but of course it is down to you. I presume you do not want to go for a valve amplifier instead?

BTW the Vox's uses Korg REMS modelling technology and is probably better sounding then the ones in the other amps.

Re: Help Guys

I'd go for the Valvetronix. I tried the Cube 30 and wasn't satisfied. I didn't like the layout and thought the sound was harsh.

The Valvetronix is easy to use and has a great sound.

Re: Help Guys

I havent tried the 30 but the 60watt combo is great..I had a few hours with one to tinker around with and you can get so many different tones from it.. If your going modelling then Id say go for the vox..
