I have decided to turn my strat with the floyd rose bridge into a metal monster. I'm looking at keeping the 3 pickup config. so full size buckers are out. This is what I'm considering at this time.

Duncan:
Neck: either CoolRail, Little 59, or Hotrail
Middle: either CoolRail, Little 59, or Vintage Rail
Bridge: HotRail

DiMarzio:
Neck: either ProTrack, Fast Track 1, or Chopper
Middle: either Pro Track or Fast Track 1
Bridge: Fast Track 2

As I stated before this will be pretty much for metal, hard rock, shred with attitude (80's ish style). Just need input as to experience with either or recommendations . :bad:

ummm ... you didnt ask a question

i'll assume you want comments or recommendations

i'd say n = CR, m = HR or CR, b = JBjr or HR (you mentioned 80s and the JB helped define the 80s)

if you have a big enough rout under the hood, you could put an H-H or H-S-H pickguard on that pretty easily for full metal monstrosity

Cool! Do something like Iron Maiden. Hot Rails in the Neck and Middle, and JB Jr. in the bridge.

From what I understand, Janick Gers uses a Jb Jr., so if you want the maiden sound, there ya go.

If your amp has enough gain, go with a Cool Rails set.
