Hey guys, I gotta a Marshall cab that I think is vintage but I'm not sure. It has Gold piping aroung the top and bottom (underneath). Around where the casters go is metal (no casters) Plastic handles, and a single mono input. The only thing that it says around the input is Made in England serial # 19426 on a small black rectangle piece of plastic. The speakers say:
Modal # G12M
power capcity 25 watts
impedance 16 ohms
Bass res 75hz
Rola Celestion LTD
Ipswich Suffolk
2 of the speakers say GH16X
1 says BH16X
last 1 says FG22 and all have t1221 on them. I went to celestions web site and I dated them all to '74 and '75 but I'm not sure because of the X after 3 of the speakers (celestion says nothing about what the X stands For) Please help cus I wanna ell this but I'm sure what its worth.
Thanks

If you can't get an answer, go to Plexi Palace's website. They should know.

They indicated that they're updatding their website, so wait a bit. www.plexipalace.com

Re: HELP How old is my Marshall Cab?

The book, "The History Of Marshall" by Michael Doyle has a whole section on dating Celestion loudspeakers. Based on this,
GH16 = 16 June 1975
BH16 = 16 February 1975
FG22 = 22 May 1974

The "T" number is probably of little help in dating either the speakers or the cab. According to the same book, t1221 matches G12H and M drivers first introduced 6th May, 1966
