Hey All,
Here's a question for you who are better versed in theory than I am. In other words...all of you.
I am a huge Scott Henderson fan and the early Tribal Tech recordings have a very unique sound with regard to the use of scales. Tunes like Peru, Tunnel Vison to give examples. I'm a ear player and I even play some of these tunes, but honestly...I am stoopid with regard to what the actual scales are that are being incorporated. I know there's pentatonic stuff and minor melodic stuff, but there's some other very unique stuff going on there. I'd love to know more about what I am actually playing; I am so improvisational, and I'm trying to work on being more structured. I think this knowledge would help me compositionally as well.
I suppose I could post this over on the Henderson site, but...I figure I'll try here.
So, if you could hook me up with the actual names of these scales I would be grateful.
Happiness All!
