Another question to ask would be does it fit in a regular pickup ring? The Silverbird uses Telecaster bobbins, which are bigger when turned straight on a humbucker bobbin.

Yep, Silverbird. MJ-wound, too, but it's the neck version.
You'll probably need to file a regular mounting ring out a little to fit those bobbins.

looks like a silverbird to me, do you have a meter to put on it?

Total resistance appears to be between 9.2 and 9.3, although I could have screwed something up. Wasn’t sure what else to check.

Edit: or 8.92

I know this is an old dead horse, but just wanted to share some pics of a set of Silverbirds in my 83 Yamaha semi.

Welcome to the SD Forum. These are something like rare bird and more so as abset. Or - from Seymours view - the redhaired step child of SD. Any chance for a vid or a comparism to another SD set? Inquiring minds like to know.

I have had a set of the SH9's for a while. They're like warmer, more compressed PAF's, with a bit more output. You can get similar sounds from the jazzB in the neck and a pearly gates B in the bridge, imho. Not the same, but similar.

They split amazing, though.

Can be ordered from the Customshop! I didn't like them.
