[help] install an ssl-5 (bridge) with fender cs69

hi all,
this is my first post and, before all, compliments for the forum!

i'm bought an ssl-5 custom staggered pickup (finally!), i'm tryin' to install it in bridge position, togheter with fender custom shop 69s in neck and middle, and i'm asking you for a little help:

1- i read somewhere (cant' find out the link...), the wiring has to be reversed, with black solded to the switch and the white to the pot, is it right?
2- i checked the polarity of the ssl-5 siding the poles to the cs69 ones (still not installed, too) , but there's no attraction, so i think they're the same polarity and the ssl-5 is not rw/rp, is it right? if yes, the wire solders are still as point 1?
2- the ssl-5 is "symmetrical" (not as fender pups, wich have a "triangular" base) and there's no indication for the verse of installation. i matched the poles with the cs69 ones and i suppose the right "sense" is with the black wire side to the treble strings and the white wire side to the bass strings, is it right?

sorry for my (maybe) stupid questions, but it's the first time i change pups set...

welcome to the forum!

so the pups repel each other? then they are the same polarity and you wont get humcancelling in the notch positions. not a huge deal.

matching up the stagger and installing the pup that way is the norm but you could install it the other way if you wanted. it worked for hendrix.

usually fender pups and duncans are out of phase so you would reverse the hot and ground wires as you suggested.

yes, they repel each other and are the same polarity. the notch positions are 2 and 4, right? for my culture... what's the humcancelling?
