Hi!! What can you tell me about a Charvel model 2 from about 1985? I remember having a catalog back then and I wanted a model 4 and 6, but dont remember the details of the 2. One Im looking at has a Kahler trem (model unknown), and single humbucker.. What type of wood? Is the Trem a good one? What is the most one should pay for it in great shape? Thanks!!

A model 2 from 1985 doesn´t exist, the series was introduced in ´86 and replaced by the toothpaste series in ´89 ;)

A model 2 should have following specs:

Locking tremolo (kahler Fulcrum to be precise, good trem when properly set up)
rosewood board on a maple neck
single humbucker

The bodies were for the most part poplar on the model and Toothpaste series, but it seems that some are basswood.

Price: No idea, imports aren´t my forté, sorry ;)

Re: Help Jacksperts... Zerb..

what, a jackson or carvel in general or the evh? i did get a sick quote on that EVH, the absolute lowest i've ever heard which kinda hurts that i passed on it b/c i could have played it for a few days and stuck it on ebay and made ~$600 lol. but i couldn't make myself pay that much for a damn strat lol. there is another charvel i'm looking at right now but if i buy any jackson or charvel it must be a 1 hum guitar with a maple oiled neck.
