Help...Marshall AVT250

Hey, Im hoping someone could help me! I bought a used Marshall AVT250 combo amp and i can't get a good sound out of it. I have looked on youtube and hear some sweet sounds but when i put the same settings doesn't sound good at all, it always sounds muffled. Im using an Epi Les Paul with slash alnico II pickups. I'm looking for a few trouble shooting tips, any help would be appreciated!!

how are you setting it?

in general, less gain and more mids

I've been trying a variation of setting but i usually have Bass 3-4, Mid 4-6, treble 4-6 and the gain mid to high. I can kinda get through the muffled sound with lots of treble but it seems like the amp is really trying to push it out

Turn everything up to 10 then turn down what you don't like!:headbang::headbang:

i'm not trying to sound rude but did you try the amp before you bought it?

always a good idea to physically plug into an amp and play a few chords before exchanging your hard-earned money for it.
