Colors like that make it real hard to stray from the norm. I know, I had a 1994 Midnight Wine American Standard and the only two colors that looked good on it where white and vintage pearl. Everything else looked like crap.

What about Tortoise or Cream?

Nope. Horrible. The tortoise will just plain look bad with that color and the cream will look like silly puddy stretched across the body.

The only other color that I could see looking good is Parchment if you are wanting off-white.

I thought about Parchment also! What about Aged/Vintage Pearloid?

If anyone can do the photoshop thing please do.

Vintage pearl might look good, much better than plain cream that's for sure.

Warmoth has swatches of the color. Take that image and sit it by a good pic of your guitar. That'll give you a good idea.

I also have to add that just changing the pickup covers, knobs and switch tip to black would make it look really cool, and a lot different.

Re: Help me choose a new pickguard

i dunno if people make dark brown pickguards, but it could look cool.

sorta like chocolate and orange = good combination.

Re: Help me choose a new pickguard

I like the way it looks right now, but if I was going to change it, I'd put a mirrored pickguard on it.

Re: Help me choose a new pickguard

Leave that guard where it is. Like many have said, change up the pu covers, knobs, and tip.
