Help me choose an amp...

I am currently looking for an amplifier (head). There are 2 shops near my area which are right across from each other (!!!) and im having a hard time choosing which amp i am going to get. one deals peavey and marshall amps while the other one deals mesaboogies.

although I play death/metalcore with my band (insanely loud drummer as well!), i need a really grinding amp but still very versatile. I play a lot of solos and i love doing harmonics. i dont want to spend too much money, but at the same time, if its worth the money, i wouldn't mind the price.

here's what's on my mind:
*Mesa Stiletto Deuce
*Mesa Dual Rectifier
*Peavey JSX
*Peavey 6505
*Marshall DSL 100

Get an Engl Powerball or Savage :headbang:
both can be crushing and grinding when used under heavy distortion but they also can be very versetaille imo. If you consider a mesa then the price for Engl isn't out of reach and build quality is top-notch(handmade in germany still is a good indicator today )

if you don't need great cleans I think I'd go with the 5150/6505..out of all the grinding newer type amp sounds...I prefer them over the DSl/TSL, and Mesa Stuff...they will also do a good "brown sound" (obviously)

might wanna also look into a VHT Deliverance.

The VHT won't do metal, unless it's a Pittbull .

Get a 5150. Grinding, harmonics, volume, balls, the works.

Peavey 5150/6505 is the number one amp for metal..

If you play clean at all, check out a Triple XXX. Otherwise, 5150/6505

have you looked at the mesa f series? im going to get the f- 50. incredible cleans, and a really nice distortion/ overdrive.
