Hi bros,
Court proceedings are coming to an end, and I will finally get my inheritance after my dad died.
Guitar playing means the world to me, so a fitting thing for me, is to buy a great guitar for some of the money.
I have a budget of approx. 3000$ - in Europe that is Gibson Les Paul Standard territory.
The problem is - many of these guitars are extremely hard to come by, so I have to ask of your opinions - for those who have played these guitars.
I have narrowed what I want down to the following:
Strat shape
22 or 24 frets.
Thin-ish neck.
H-H or H-S (H-S-H or H-S-S is ok too, but I prefer the two others).
Floyd Rose bridge.
Quality craftmanship.
I have narrowed it down the these:
A used Charvel Warren DeMartini Snakeskin - I love the looks of this one. It fits my tastes to a t.
Suhr Modern Pro - the H-H model with either maple or Pau ferro fretboard. Gotoh floyd. Looks awesome in that amber flame top.
I have considered a few others - I can get an old Kramer ProAxe for very little money, and I am considering that as well.
So here is the question, of the Charvel and Suhr, which is the better guitar? What would you go for, if you were looking for a top notch players guitar?
Also, other suggestions?
